WE REMEMBER: President Nangolo Mbumba urged Namibians to commemorate the country's struggle for independence and celebrate its sovereignty. He said this yesterday at Omuthiya during the Heroes' Day commemoration. Mbumba said Namibians must remember that freedom did not come on a silver platter, hence the importance of honouring those who defended their motherland by choosing to fight, risking their lives and, in many instances, paying the ultimate price for our freedom. BRIDGING TRADITION AND INNOVATION: Vice-President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah on Saturday officially opened this year's Ongwediva Annual Trade Fair, where over 300 exhibitors have the goods and services on display. Nandi-Ndaitwah, who urged businesses to consider trading beyond Namibia's borders, also toured the exhibition halls in order to engage with the exhibitors. PHOTO: Tuyeimo Haidula
