ALL ROADS LEAD TO KATIMA: Over 10 000 people are expected to attend the country’s 34th Independence Day celebrations in Katima Mulilo tomorrow. The celebration will be held under the theme ‘A people united for prosperity’, and President Nangolo Mbumba will deliver the keynote address. “It’s the first time the Zambezi Region is hosting the independence celebrations, creating an exciting atmosphere,” information ministry executive director Audrin Mathe said. Earlier this week, Zambezi governor Lawrence Sampofu said all accommodation facilities in the region are fully booked for the event. He further urged Namibians to visit Zambezi not only for the Independence Day celebrations, but also to see the beauty the region has to offer.
