The Sisa Namandje Foundation handed over donations as well as sponsorships valued at N$150 000 to six law students last week.

The funds will be used to totally or partially fund the tuition fees of the law students and one nursing student.

The beneficiaries are: Hedwig Makongwa, Reginald Kalambalalwa, Lebby Shnayenge, Kamary Mupupa, Toini Johannes, Irene Mukumba and Hileni Hakwenye.

Taimi Iileka-Amupanda, chairperson of the foundation, said they are steadfast in their commitment to support social development in Namibia.

The foundation has donated towards community projects like the Rock Wildlife Foundation in the Zambezi Region and the Khomas Social Science Regional Quiz, as well as various donations to vulnerable children with nutritional and medical needs.

She said with the money made available this year, "we were able to pay tuition fees and meet other educational needs for more than 20 students enrolled in various tertiary institutions."
