JUST IN: ‘This is the worst flood ever’

Pensioner Rosalia Mwoongela is among those affected by the flood at Onaminda village in the Ohangwena Region.

She has been living here for the past seven years - three which received floods. She says this is the most devastating flood they have ever seen. She is willing to be relocated, but fears that her belongings will be stolen by the time she returns to her home.

As seen in the video, Mwoongela’s house is surrounded by water and she cannot go out, so she stays indoors. Mwoongela is heartbroken by the idea of moving from her home to live in a tent for an unknown period of time.
