#JustIn: TransNamib appoints acting CEO
TransNamib’s current executive for human capital, Webster Gonzo, has been appointed as the company’s acting CEO.
This follows after TransNamib earlier this month announced that its CEO Johny Smith’s five-year contract will end on 31 March and he opted not to renew it.
Smith was appointed in February 2018 at TransNamib. He has since been appointed as the CEO of Grindrod Rail, effective 1 April 2023 and will be based in Namibia.
