Sebulon Chicalu appointed as NTB CEO
Former director of tourism and gaming at the ministry of tourism, Sebulon Chicalu, has been appointed as the new CEO of the Namibia Tourism Board (NTB).
Chicalu's appointment, which is effective from 1 March 2025, was officially announced by NTB ahead of the ITB Berlin 2025, a major international tourism trade fair. He will be formally introduced in his new role during NTB's pre-show reception on 3 March, where he is also expected to deliver a speech.
NTB highlighted Chicalu’s extensive expertise as a business strategist with a strong background in the travel and tourism industry, tourism product innovation, and development. His diverse skill set includes employee engagement, as well as experience as a moderator, negotiator, coordinator, and public speaker.
Chicalu takes the helm at NTB at a critical time, with expectations to drive growth, innovation, and strategic direction in Namibia’s tourism sector.
