NWR to boost SA youth tourism to Namibia
NEWS IN SHORT
Namibia Wildlife Resorts (NWR) and the South African High Commission to Namibia discussed strategies yesterday to attract more young South Africans to Namibia. A delegation from NWR, led by its managing director Dr Matthias Ngwangwama, met with councillor Kasturie Maharaj to discuss the strategy.
NWR spokesperson Nelson Ashipala said that the discussions highlighted that while many South African visitors understand the historical ties between the two nations, younger generations, particularly 'Generation Z' and millennials, have yet to take full advantage of travel opportunities to Namibia.
Both parties agreed on developing targeted initiatives to position Namibia as a prime destination for South Africa’s youth, leveraging its unique landscapes, adventure tourism and cultural heritage.
