The ministry of information and communication technology - in partnership with various sponsors - will host the eighth national information and communication technology (ICT) summit from Monday, 9 September, to Wednesday, 11 September. The theme this year is ‘Building resilience to 'adapt or die' in the era of digital transformation and artificial intelligence’.

"Recently, the International Monetary Fund ranked Namibia ninth out of 54 African countries in terms of preparedness for adopting artificial intelligence (AI) in 2024. This ranking highlights Namibia's significant progress in developing the necessary infrastructure and environment to leverage Al technologies. It underscores the relevance, alignment and timeliness of this year's theme, showcasing the country's commitment to adapting to the evolving digital era," executive director Dr Audrin Mathe said.
