Desert Jewels fall to Zimbabwe

Namibia’s national netball team, the Desert Jewels, lost their first match of the Tri-Nations in Malawi yesterday morning, losing 48-36 against Zimbabwe. The winning team took a 14-9 lead in the first quarter and went on to lead by 24-16 at the end of the second quarter. The third quarter saw Zimbabwe in a commanding position with a 37-24 lead. During the fourth quarter, the Zimbabweans finished off the game with a solid victory. Namibia also played Malawi late last night - results are available on our social media pages. PHOTO FILE
