Cabous and Diana take singles championships
Lawn bowls
Cabous Olivier retained his Namibian men’s national singles title as the week-long championship held by the Namibian Bowls Association concluded on Saturday.
The youngster from Walvis Bay club Namibpark, who studies in South Africa, held on to the title he won last year when he defeated André Campbell – while the women’s singles title changed hands.
Diana Viljoen narrowly beat defending champion Marietjie van den Berg from Tsumeb, who now also represents Boland since living in South Africa
The annual highlight of the sport was held in the capital at the courts of Windhoek, TransNamib and Eros bowling clubs.
