Reaching for the stars
Crete Gymnastics Club's James Milne Cinda (left) and Immanuel Kooper (right) represented Namibia in Serbia at the 13th Memorial 'Laza Kristic and Maria Dzelatovic' competition, which was held in Novi Sad from 9 to 11 December. It was the first time the two gymnasts competed in an international event. James finished in the top 10 for four of the apparatuses, including the high bar, and fourth overall.
"Our goal for this competition is to not only allow them to gain exposure, but also to build up contacts to plan more international events in the future," said Petra Thornburn, owner of the Crete Gymnastics Club.
