I will steal the show – Simon Junior

Limba Mupetami
On Friday, 14 July, Namibian welterweight boxer Harry Simon Junior will take on a Zimbabwean fighter in an event organised in partnership with Delta Force Boxing Promotions and MTC Nestor Sunshine Tobias Boxing Academy.

The event is expected to be graced by the likes of American former boxer Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather.

Simon Junior recently beat Vishwas Lahori of India in a welterweight fight, which saw the Namibian winning by technical knockout in the second round of an eight-rounder.

“This fight will be a sixth-rounder. I don’t have much information regarding my opponent right now. I don’t know who he is and I’m not interested in knowing," Simon Junior said.

Sir Two Rounds

"My prediction is that the fight will last only two rounds, as all three of my last fights were knockouts in round two," the young fighter added.

“I expect this to be my fourth fight in a row where I put someone to sleep in that round. At the gym, they are already calling me Sir Two Rounds."

"I’ll take all the fights they offer me this year. It doesn’t matter who I fight; as long as I’m fit, I’m fighting. And when the big fights come knocking at my door, I’ll be more than ready to shock the whole world - just as my father did,” Simon Junior added.

The boxing event in Zimbabwe will also see other Namibian fighters from the MTC Nestor Sunshine Tobias Boxing Academy stable, namely Onesmus Nekundi, Sebastian Nathanael, Mateus Heita, Alfeus Shaanika and Nestor Amukoto, facing off against opponents.
