Bowls final a success
On the weekend of 29 and 30 October, three Windhoek-based bowling clubs battled to win gold, silver, or bronze medals, as well as being placed as the overall winning club for the tournament.
The TransNamib Bowling Club was unstoppable.
They are the overall 2022 Windhoek League winners.
Namibia Bowls, in a statement, said the sport of lawn bowls in Namibia has grown to include a diverse and vibrant group, from very young to more mature people.
"All are passionate about bowling and participating in this interesting sport, open to newcomers in Windhoek, Swakopmund, Walvis Bay and Tsumeb. Bowls is a comparatively simple sport to play, yet dynamic and exciting."
They said all the clubs would welcome new members and would relish introducing Namibians of all backgrounds and ages to the game.
After a full weekend of tight games, the Windhoek League Grand Final results were as follows:
