WindhoekBrave Warriors head coach Collin Benjamin has called up a 31-member training squad for the upcoming 2022 Council of Southern African Football Associations (Cosafa) tournament scheduled for Durban, South Africa, from 5 to 17 July.
Plenty of challenges lay ahead for Benjamin, considering the lengthy absence of domestic football in the country, with only a handful of national team players competing abroad.
However, the new coach is determined to use the players at his disposal and put up a challenge at Cosafa, having called up a crop of young and experienced players.
The squad began their training on Saturday at the Namibia Football Association’s technical centre in Windhoek.
Benjamin is assisted by Ronny Kanalelo. Arnold Subeb has been roped in as goalkeeper coach, while Garren Smith is the team’s sports scientist.
