Stage set for NSSU rugby finals
Schools rugby
Parkies vs Gymnasium always delivers a good show.
Pionierspark Primary School will host the Namibia School Sports Union (NSSU) primary schools rugby finals this Saturday morning, sponsored by Officeconomix.
Last weekend’s semi-finals at the same venue delivered great excitement.
A repeat of last season’s under-13 final will see Windhoek Gymnasium and Pioneerspark Primary School (Parkies) battle it out again on Saturday.
Parkies were crowned under 13 Super League champions in September last year after they beat Windhoek Gymnasium 33-7 at the Windhoek High School Vegkop Stadium.
These two schools take centre stage again in the main match this coming weekend as Parkies will try to retain their trophy once more, while Gymnasium will launch a renewed attack to try getting their hands on the trophy.
Parkies has had a great season so far, with all three teams making it to the finals.
Gymnasium U13 had the more competitice semi-final last weekend, eliminating Pro-Ed by a narrow 19-17, while Parkies outclassed St. Joseph from Rehoboth 48-0.
The final matches were originally scheduled to take place at Vegkop Stadium, but due to the Namibia vs Blue Bulls match being relocated there, changes had to be made and all the games will now again take place at Parkies.
All the matches on Saturday will be broadcasted live on the My Zone Facebook page as from 09:40 with the U11 match set to kick-off at 09:50.
Teams in finals are:

U12 final, Parkies v Windhoek Gymnasium, 10:40–11:25.
