Pro-Ed Wolves work hard to beat WAP

PSG Pro-Ed’s Wolves triumphed 22-17 against Windhoek Afrikaans Privaatskool (WAP) in their Standard Bank NSSR U19 premier league match at Swakopmund.
Pro-Ed showcased some resilience as they endured a stunning comeback from their opponents before securing a hard-fought win.
Visitors WAP didn’t make it easy for Pro-Ed as they displayed solid defenses and went into halftime on equal standing.
Pro-Ed set the pace initially and dictated the field position in the first half with swift passes and calculated moves that left WAP’s defence scrambling.
The first half ended at 10-10, as WAP eventually managed to capitalize and find gaps in Pro-Ed’s solid defence. Each team scored two unconverted tries.
Rising to the occasion, Pro-Ed found another gear and secured two additional tries, with one converted.
Determined to close the points gap, WAP effectively regrouped and launched a spirited revival scoring an additional try in the second half with a successful conversion.
Pro-Ed’s try scorers were lock Jivaldo Pienaar, centre and captain Tayton Saunders and left wing Marc Holloway, with one conversion by fly-half Maughan Jarman in his return match from injury.
Pro-Ed captain Tayton Saunders shared his excitement at getting the result against WAP. “The game was quite intense, but we were able to capitalize and take the win.”
Gianluca Savoldelli, WAP captain, remained optimistic after his team secured one losing bonus point. “It was a tough game, very competitive, however my team did their best and I’m proud of them.”
