Ongos finish as Invincibles
Ongos FC were officially crowned as champions of the FNB Women's Super League after going through the season undefeated winning 21 games out 22. Scoring 105 goals and only conceding 11.
They completed the season with a flair after beating V-Power Angels 7-1 on Saturday.
Coach Shama Gure was proud of the girls.
"It has been a fantastic season and we are proud of how the girls played. It has been a long season and credit goes to every player in the team. We hope to build on this success and continue dominating Women's football," Gure said.
Congratulations to Anna Shikusho (28) from FC Ongos Ladies for winning the FNB Women Super League Top scorer award scoring 32 goals in 18 matches.
Beauties FC finished as runners up in league with their goalkeeper also scooping the Golden glove award.
The team is in the final of the PstBet NFA cup too.
They are hoping to complete a double.
"Our focus now is on the NFA cup final.
"We know a cup tie will not be easy and we have to go in with a right attitude and mentality.
"All these players have the experience and are hard workers.
"I therefore have no doubt in my mind that we are going to be successful."
