After the success of last year’s sports and athletics events, the Namibian Private Schools Organization (NAPSO) is back to showcase the best young talent in the country. This year’s journey begins with the highly anticipated national athletics competition taking place this weekend in Stampriet, with Elnatan hosting the event.

Athletes from various NAPSO-affiliated schools will compete in different track and field events, with the top performers earning a spot to represent NAPSO in South Africa. Unlike previous years, where selections were made from both regional and national events, this year’s top athletes will immediately advance to compete internationally. Additionally, NAPSO CEO Johan-André Fourie hinted at the possibility of the top 10 athletes traveling to Europe for further competitions.

Fourie emphasized that NAPSO’s mission extends beyond competition, focusing on collaboration to uplift young athletes and provide them with greater opportunities.

Meanwhile, Private School Moria has been selected to host the prestigious NAPSO Securitas Private School Week later this year, adding to the exciting developments within the organization.

For those unable to attend the event in person, NTV will broadcast the games live on Saturday. Catch all the action on DSTV Channel 285, GoTv Channel 25, and online via digital channel oneuptwo.com.
