Magic in the driving seat
Tura Magic defeated Beauties 3-1 on Saturday in a FNB Women Super League match played at the Namibia Football Association technical centre in Windhoek.
Magic coach Shama Gure was impressed by his side's performance, saying Beauties had it coming.
“The three to four encounters was not an indication of what we are capable of. We definitely outclassed them. The game plan, strategy and approach was on point right from the onset.
“The players came out to play. It was hard work. Everyone came out to perform above par. I now have to go back and motivate the players for this weekend’s games,” he said.
Fighting spirit
Tura Magic captain Lovisa Mulunga said the plan was to win and to score as many goals as possible.
"We have a high fighting spirit. We are consistent and resilient and we want to win. We feel like this is yet another chance for us. My heartfelt gratitude to all the supporters who always come out to watch us play."
Other matches on Saturday saw Nust Babes beating Omaheke 7-0. Arrows Ladies defeated Ramblers 2-1, while Unam Bokkies won their match 1-0 against V-Power Angels.
RightWay Phoenixes put one past the goalkeeper to win their match 1-0 against Okahandja FC.
