Kanalelo tasked with Bucks' revival

Newly appointed coach of Bucks Buccaneers FC, Ronnie Kanalelo, says he aims to bring better organisation to the team.
The former league-winning coach with African Stars replaced Woody Jacobs on Monday after the club hierarchy reportedly sacked Jacobs by Whatsapp due to poor results.
Kanalelo, who resigned from his African Stars job in February, is now tasked with changing the fortunes of the club that is currently third from the bottom of the log.
“I must admit, it is indeed a different club compared to where I was, but I believe I am capable of bringing organisation and a different mentality in the players.
“In the coming matches, we will concentrate more on positional play as we also try to change the game model.
“I know many would question my move, but this is a great opportunity to help with the transformation of the club,” he said.
Kanalelo’s first match in charge will be on Saturday against Young African (the only unbeaten team, who slipped from second to fourth this week) and against his former employers African Stars FC on Sunday.
Bucks Buccaneers are currently 14th on the premiership log after 15 matches of which they have won only two, with six losses and seven draws. The team has scored 13 goals and conceded 16.
The club is in need to get points in order for them to move out of the danger zone of relegation.
“The other thing on my wish-list is getting two centre backs, but that is impossible because the NFA regulations do not allow us to sign players or register them even if they are from smaller teams.
“That is a policy that needs to change because it is denying players and teams and opportunity to grab someone is even a free agent from signing for the club.”
