Gapara wins Plastic Packaging competition

The Plastic Packaging-sponsored event drew a field of 38 players.
The format for this newly introduced competition, sponsored by a new sponsor, was an individual better hole with one bonus hole to be added to the score.
Vennon Gapara did not need the bonus hole and won first prize on 28 points. Charles Shayamano finished second on 27 ahead of Wouter van Wijk with 26 points.
Chris Tempo won the N$500 jackpot.
Two clubs were registered by Sandro de Gouveia, Kevin Wentzel, Grant Mather and Davis Peake. They collected N$60 each. Nearest to the pin on 11 was Pedro Fernandes and Grant Mather was closest on 18.
Bossie Bosman won the Seniors last week with 37 points with Chris Bothma second on a countout. Rory Wolhuter won the bread on the day.
The Walvis Bay Golf Club leg of the National Sages scheduled for 13 and 14 December is sponsored by Old Mutual. Entries for the Sages must be made on the golf portal. The entry list for the Festive Cup on 20 and 21 December will be circulated in due course. - [email protected]
