Draws Set the stage for thrilling battles at Region 5 Youth Games in Namibia

The official draws across all sporting disciplines were revealed in Windhoek, Namibia on Sunday.
With just ten weeks to go, excitement is steadily building as Namibia prepares to host the 2025 Region 5 Youth Games from 4-13 July.
On Sunday night, the pool allocations and match schedules across various sports were officially unveiled in Windhoek, setting the stage for the upcoming celebration of youth talent from across Southern Africa.
The Games will feature intense competition across multiple disciplines, including football, basketball, volleyball, netball and beach volleyball, bringing together the region’s brightest young athletes.
Here is the compiled list of draws for the Region 5 Youth Games, Windhoek 2024:
In the Beach Volleyball U19 competition, the men’s category will feature Namibia, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Botswana, Zambia and Malawi in a round-robin format.
For the women, Pool A comprises Namibia, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Malawi, while Pool B consists of Mozambique, South Africa, Botswana, Angola and Lesotho.
In the Indoor Volleyball U19 men’s category, the teams are ranked as follows: Namibia, South Africa, Botswana, Malawi, Zambia and Zimbabwe. In the women’s competition, Pool A includes Namibia, Malawi, Zimbabwe and Lesotho, while Pool B features Botswana, South Africa, Angola, Zambia and Mozambique.
For netball U19 Women, Pool A will see Eswatini, Malawi, Zambia and South Africa competing, while Pool B includes Namibia, Zimbabwe and Botswana.
Football U20 will once again be a major attraction, with the Under-20 men’s and women’s tournaments also serving as the 2025 COSAFA Championships for the age group.
In the men’s competition, Pool A consists of Namibia, Angola, Malawi and Zimbabwe, while Pool B features South Africa, Zambia, Eswatini and Botswana.
