The Monthly Medal, sponsored by Novanam, featured some outstanding golf on Saturday, 27 July. Golfers from all divisions participated in the event, enjoying favorable weather conditions for most of the day, with the southwesterly wind only starting to blow during the final few holes.

Three two-clubs were recorded: Rudi Auseb Sr. and Douw van Wyk on Hole 12, and Rudi Auseb Jr. on Hole 7.

The overall medal winner for July was junior golfer Alex Stafford, who delivered a brilliant score of 61 nett, seemingly unable to put a foot wrong. In the A Division, Douw van Wyk claimed victory with a score of 73 nett. Helmut Ndjendja won the B Division with 74 nett, while Chris Magson clinched the C Division with 67 nett. Rina Knight took the Ladies Division with 73 nett, and Rudi Auseb Jr. won the Junior Division with 73 nett.

On Friday, several golfers participated in the Par 3 Challenge sponsored by Russell Paschke. This popular format always attracts a good field, though the "hole in one" prize remains unclaimed.

Bachmus Oil sponsored the Rossmund Golf Club's weekly Wednesday competition. The Nearest to the Pin awards were contested on Holes 3 and 16, with Tony Boesch and Achmet Abrahams winning, respectively. The overall winner over 18 holes was determined by a count-out, with Fanie Terblanche emerging victorious over Johan Kok on 38 points. Johan Smit won the Front 9 with 22 points, while Henry Louw claimed the Best Back 9 with 21 points. Special thanks go to all the golfers for their support and to Corné Schalkwyk for providing the prizes.
