The Hope Initiative of Southern Africa in Namibia (HISA) today closed their gender-based violence (GBV) project that started in 2020, aimed at curbing GBV, violence, as well as empowering women and children in Khomas, Otjizondjupa and other Namibian regions by encouraging communities, men and boys to be human rights defenders and change agents.

Furthermore, they have also initiated a new project with the goal of providing support to community-led civil society organisations (CSOs) focused on youth and women, as well as action groups/consortiums in informal settlements located in peri-urban and rural areas of the Khomas, Otjizondjupa, and Omusati Regions.

The objective of this project is to foster and promote an empowering environment for advancing gender equality and youth inclusion.

Gosia Lachut, the deputy head of the EU delegation, addressed the achievements of the project. Video Junior Kapofi
