Three Windhoek locals win big with MTC
Three Windhoek residents have walked away with huge prizes from MTC's Pop and Win Summer Campaign.
A total grand cash prize of N$450 000 topped off the range of prizes that MTC customers benefitted from during the last three months.
Canchia Muinjo, Tangeni Hamakali and Daniela Christiaans placed first, second and third, respectively, in the competition.
Muinjo bagged a staggering N$200 000, Hamakali won N$150 000 and Christiaans won N$100 000.
Life-changing win
During the prize-giving ceremony, the winners all vowed to put their winnings to good use, with Muinjo expressing gratitude for a "life-changing" win.
"I am excited to be one of the grand prize winners, and I would like to thank God for it. This prize will indeed make a difference in my life. It is life-changing for me, and I am glad that I participated in the campaign," she said.
The campaign ran between November 2023 and February.
Throughout this period, MTC gave away 30 iPhone 14 Pro Max phones.
In addition, participants bagged airtime worth more than N$200 000.
Meticulous campaign
During the handover event last week, MTC's acting chief commercial officer, Elton Katangolo, highlighted that the campaign was fair and based on rigorous processes.
"The campaign featured several draws and each draw was meticulously executed with transparency and fairness at the forefront," he explained.
“Our draw panels consisted of two representatives from the value-added services team, one from corporate affairs and one internal auditor, ensuring the integrity of the selection process," Katangolo noted.
He said throughout the campaign, MTC "witnessed a remarkable active engagement and gained valuable insights into customers' behaviour and preferences when it comes to gamification."
