Three arrested in major drug bust

Three Namibian men were arrested last Thursday after being caught with 20 parcels of cannabis and two plastic bags containing 2 037 mandrax tablets.
The arrest took place at approximately 01:20 am, 26 km before Uis, during a police operation. The suspects were intercepted while driving a white Isuzu 260. The main suspect had reportedly been under police surveillance while travelling on public transport from Windhoek to Omaruru, where he allegedly collected the drugs.
He was later picked up by the two other suspects.
The estimated value of the confiscated drugs has not yet been determined.
