Swapo stands with Palestine
News in short
Swapo hosted a march in solidarity with the people of Palestine amidst the ongoing war between Israel and Palestine on Friday.
"The ongoing and despicable violence between Israel and Palestine in the Gaza Strip has led to the loss of so many precious lives, and it is of grave concern to the Swapo Party,” a statement released by Swapo secretary for information and mobilisation, Hilma Nicanor, stated.
“As you are all aware, the Namibian nation was born out of the solidarity and support that Swapo enjoyed during the liberation struggle from the progressive people of the world.”
Supporters marched from Zoo Park to the United Nations office in Windhoek and handed over a petition to be conveyed to all member states.
