Public help requested in locating suspects
The Namibian Police in the Khomas Region are appealing to the public for assistance in locating several individuals wanted in connection with theft-related crimes.
Roberto Martin Talaia and Piet Indongo, also known as Pieto, are wanted for the alleged theft of a car by the Otjomuise police.
Both men are Oshiwambo-speaking Namibian nationals whose last known address was in Khomasdal, Windhoek, the police said.
David Haufiku Erastus is sought in connection with two cases: one case of theft under pretences registered by Wanaheda police and another for the alleged theft of a vehicle.
Erastus is a 36-year-old Oshiwambo-speaking Namibian whose last known address was Kingsley Road, Goreangab Dam, Windhoek, the police reported.
Sean Van Wyk is wanted for an alleged motor vehicle theft by Otjomuise police. He is an Afrikaans-speaking Namibian and his current address is unknown. Reports suggest he resides in Windhoek, police said.
Henghono Maliki is being sought for an alleged theft under false pretences by police in Wanaheda. Maliki is an Oshiwambo-speaking Namibian whose address is also unknown, though he is believed to live in Windhoek.
The police said despite court-issued warrants for their apprehension, police efforts to locate these individuals have been unsuccessful.
The authorities are calling on anyone with information regarding their whereabouts to contact Detective Senior Inspector Lilonga at 0816698281, Detective Sergeant Uarije at 0813111580, or Detective Sergeant Garoeh at 0816696865. Alternatively, members of the public can report to the nearest police station.
