MVA Fund on Wheels heads to Zambezi
NEWS IN SHORT
The Motor Vehicle Accident Fund (MVA Fund) 'On Wheels' initiative is heading to the Zambezi Region. The community outreach programme aims to take road safety to the people and instil the importance and value of road safety awareness within communities.
The week-long programme starts today and ends Saturday, 21 September. It will see the MVA Fund’s team visit towns and villages across the region, including areas such as Bukalo, Ngoma, Masokotwane, Sangwali, Mubiza and Kongola.
“While the fund has strategically located service centres across the country, there are still a few underserved communities” said MVA Fund CEO Rosalia Martins-Hausiku.
The MVA Fund on Wheels team will also assist communities with claims, allowing for clients in the region to query their claims, submit new claims and learn more about the benefits and services offered by the fund.
The outreach features various initiatives, including a focus on pedestrian, passenger and tyre safety and hosting events with school learners on road safety issues.
