Kelp Blue wins COP28 award
Recognition has been given to Namibia’s Kelp Blue Project at the 28th UN Climate Change Conference (COP28) for its large-scale climate efforts to grow giant kelp forests, which aim to enhance ocean health and sequester carbon.
The Zayed Sustainability Prize, initiated in 2008, recognises impactful sustainable solutions in health, food, energy, water, climate action and global high schools.
Kelp Blue was founded in 2020 and is primarily based in Lüderitz.
