#JustIn: Earthquake at Karasburg

The earth shook slightly at 02:22 on Monday, about 36 km from Karasburg. The Ministry of Mines and Energy announced that an earthquake of 3.3 in intensity was recorded at a depth of less than 10 km. The ministry will send a team of geological scientists there to investigate . Although this was a relatively mild earthquake, deputy executive director Gloria Simubali advises that in case of earthquakes, persons should go outside, away from buildings, windows, trees and power lines, and remain alert for falling objects.
