Jailbreak at Omuthiya police cells
Eleven suspects escaped from the Omuthiya police holding cells on Saturday after allegedly using metal objects to break through a wall before fleeing. The jailbreak was discovered when police officers on a morning shift found the hole and realised that several suspects had escaped. The escaped individuals had been detained on various charges ranging from theft, housebreaking, rape, fraud, bribery, organised crime, assaulting police officers, possession of drugs, armed robbery and attempted murder. Five suspects have already been re-arrested, while six remain at large. - STAFF REPORTER
