FPCA and Neka refute protest allegations

Former Plan Combatants Association (FPCA) and Namibia Exile Kids Association (Neka) have issued a statement refuting allegations of a protest that they claim has been circulating on social media, titled ‘A Call to Action for Former PLAN Fighters, Children of the Liberation Struggle, and All Former Liberation Struggle Fighters’.
Issued by FPCA chairperson Bamba Nghipandua and Neka president Kadiva Hamutumwa, the statement said the two associations distanced themselves “from this misguided fabrication and propaganda.
“We have observed this misleading information circulating on various social media platforms about a planned demonstration, that we are allegedly planning, with deep concern and displeasure. We write to make it categorically clear that FPCA and Neka are not spearheading, organising, arranging or coordinating the demonstration that has the potential to cause chaos and unrest,” the statement read.
