Family attacked by robbers in Usakos

A violent home invasion in Usakos over the weekend left a 47-year-old man injured after three armed robbers attacked a family in their home.
The suspects, who entered the house through an open sitting-room door around 20:45, robbed the family of two Samsung cellphones and a tablet, collectively valued at N$13 000.
According to police reports, the 78-year-old homeowner, his wife and their grandson were inside when the robbers stormed in and cornered them. During the altercation, the 47-year-old grandson sustained a head injury after being struck with a panga. Fortunately, his injuries were not life-threatening, and he was treated at a hospital before being discharged.
In an act of resistance, one of the suspects was struck in the face with a chair before the group fled the scene. The homeowner also fired gunshots in their direction as they escaped.
