EV charging station for Windhoek

The City of Windhoek is set to receive an electric vehicle (EV) charging station, valued at approximately N$120 000, from Tesla Energy Solutions, a Namibian company specialising in sustainable energy technologies. The charging station will be installed at the City of Windhoek's offices, making it publicly accessible for monitoring usage trends. This installation will also contribute to ongoing research on the integration of electric vehicles into Namibia's transport system.



The donation comes at a significant time as the City of Windhoek continues to lead the charge in implementing climate change mitigation strategies and adaptation actions. This donation not only supports the City’s transition towards more sustainable energy sources but also aligns with its commitment to advancing climate resilience and promoting green technologies within the urban environment.
