Dangerous road conditions in Zambezi

STAFF REPORTER
Road users in the Zambezi Region were recently warned about hazardous conditions on some of its roads.

According to the Roads Authority of Namibia (RA), the DR3522 (Namalubi–Kalumba road) has been temporarily closed due to severe damage caused by recent heavy rainfall.

“For your safety and to facilitate necessary repairs, DR3522 will remain closed until further notice. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience and cooperation. Updates on the road’s status will be provided as repairs progress,” reads a notice from the RA.

Additionally, road users are urged to exercise extra caution when travelling on the following roads due to slippery conditions: DR3510 [Bukalo–Lusese road], DR3512 [Ikumwe–Lusese road] and DR3572 [Bukalo–Sifuha road].
