The board and management of the Communications Regulatory Authority of Namibia (CRAN) earlier this week announced that company CEO Emilia Nghikembua was named Young African Leader of the Year by African Leadership Magazine.

The board said the prestigious recognition celebrates Nghikembua's exemplary leadership and unwavering commitment to advancing Namibia's telecommunications sector. Her selection from among distinguished nominees across the continent highlights the transformative impact of her work at CRAN, the statement noted.

The award ceremony will take place on 28 February in Casablanca, Morocco, where Nghikembua will be honoured alongside other remarkable African leaders.
