Boy scalded, whipped for allegedly stealing food

An eight-year-old boy was whipped with electric wires and scalded with boiling water by a 20-year-old man after allegedly being caught stealing food from a neighbour's house in Okalale village, Tsandi constituency. The man, identified as Amon Iindongo, was arrested and appeared in the Okahao Magistrate's Court on Friday, police confirmed. He was denied bail and his case has been postponed to 9 June. The boy is currently receiving treatment in the hospital.
