NWR hands over school garden

In a heartwarming gesture of community support, Namibia Wildlife Resorts (NWR) recently handed over a fully equipped school garden and school shoes to learners at Alloys Hashipara Primary School in the Kavango Region. This initiative forms part of NWR's corporate social investment programme, which fulfils its commitment to channel all proceeds from the NWR half marathon towards uplifting schools and learners across Namibia.In a heartwarming gesture of community support, Namibia Wildlife Resorts (NWR) recently handed over a fully equipped school garden as well as school shoes to learners at Alloys Hashipara Primary School in the Kavango Region. This initiative forms part of NWR's corporate social investment programme, which fulfils its commitment to channel all proceeds from the NWR half marathon towards uplifting schools and learners across Namibia.The donation, valued at N$60 000, ensures every school student receives a new pair of shoes. The school garden, equipped with gardening tools and seeds, aims to foster students' food production skills and make the school self-sufficient.Basic dignity NWR extended its gratitude to Telecom Namibia and all participants of the NWR half marathon for their contributions toward making this initiative a reality. Their collaboration and dedication played a pivotal role in meeting the project's demands.“We aim to reach more schools next year, ensuring that no child is left behind regarding education and basic human dignity,” NWR's Nelson Ashipala said. The school garden initiative addresses food security and introduces learners to the fundamentals of agriculture, equipping them with valuable life skills. NWR envisions this project as a step toward enabling schools to feed themselves while empowering learners with practical knowledge about food production.As NWR continues to prioritise community empowerment, this initiative underscores the organisation's commitment to making a lasting impact in the lives of Namibian learners.
