The Namibia Tourism Board (NTB) is taking part in Africa’s Travel Indaba exhibition, which kicked off at the beginning of this week in Durban, South Africa, to showcase the finest attractions Namibia has to offer.

The Indaba is an iconic African leisure trade show, headed by South African Tourism, with the specific objective of creating market access for the vast array of African leisure tourism products.

The event will take place from 13 to 16 May with a three-day trade show preceded by a dedicated business opportunity networking day (BONDay), which seeks to create a platform for thought leadership, knowledge sharing and obtaining the latest in global trends and local insights.

The BONDay programme was developed in close collaboration with global tourism organisations, continental experts, and industry associations.

“Africa's Travel Indaba is widely recognised as a premier platform for tourism stakeholders, including tourism boards, tour operators, and travel agents, to promote their offerings to a global audience,” said NTB.

Much on offer

The trade show provides an unparalleled opportunity to showcase the African continent's unique and diverse attractions.

“Namibia, known as the land of endless horizons and unparalleled beauty, has much to offer discerning travellers.”

NTB said it is dedicated to highlighting the country's captivating attractions, exciting adventures and warm hospitality.

By actively participating in Africa's Travel Indaba, NTB aims to attract local and international tourists to explore Namibia's hidden gems.

The trade show will serve as a platform to engage with travel industry professionals and foster meaningful partnerships that contribute to the growth of tourism in Namibia.

“Throughout the four-day event, representatives from the NTB will host informative sessions, present captivating visuals and share intriguing stories about Namibia's unique tourism offerings.”

Attendees will have the opportunity to win a trip to Namibia and learn about Namibia's enchanting landscapes, prominent national parks, captivating cultural heritage and exciting adventure tourism opportunities.

“This exceptional event offers an invaluable opportunity for attendees to network, gain insights and experience firsthand the wonders of Africa.”

NTB is partnering with 28 Namibian tourism stakeholders at the indaba. More than 1 100 exhibitors from across Africa are participating at the Indaba, which is fully sold out.
