Dairy company concludes a successful roadshow

Namibia Dairies recently hosted and successfully completed a company-wide engagement initiative, the Managing Director's Roadshow and Persona Forum.
This event, led by acting managing director Wynand Oosthuizen and the senior leadership team, was designed to foster open communication, celebrate achievements and align collective efforts with the ambitious goals outlined in Vision 2029.
The initiative involved site visits, interactive forums, and team-building activities across various locations, providing a platform for direct interaction between leadership and staff and reinforcing their commitment to quality, performance excellence, and a unified vision for the future.
Vision 2029 encapsulates Namibia Dairies' long-term strategic goals, focusing on achieving performance excellence, authentic leadership and ongoing engagement with all stakeholders.
The roadshow emphasised the company's commitment to clear communication and effective performance management, ensuring the right team is in place to secure future success.
"This vision is not just a guiding framework but a proactive strategy to establish Namibia Dairies as a leader in the dairy industry, known for quality and innovation," a media release from Ohlthaver & List (O&L) noted.
Future success
The roadshow provided an invaluable opportunity to reflect on the past year's challenges and achievements while setting the stage for future success. Each visit included engaging O&L persona forums, a traditional 'braai', trade visits and hands-on experiences with the senior leadership team working alongside staff.
According to Namibia Dairies, the highest standards of product quality are ensured through rigorous practices.
"Cows are carefully selected for their superior genetics and receive top-notch care, supported by expert guidance from fodder specialists. Dedicated teams, including cow handlers, calf handlers, fodder experts, agronomists and quality assurance professionals, undergo regular training to maintain excellence in raw milk production."
The roadshow provided first-hand experiences of these practices, showcasing how company tankers transport milk to the plant, where it undergoes stringent quality checks, said O&L.
"Commitment to up-to-date machinery maintenance and scheduled repairs ensures seamless plant operations."
Training and development
The company also highlighted its branded distribution trucks and automated roadshow planning system for real-time management, underscoring its dedication to efficient and reliable delivery.
"Training and development are at the core of Namibia Dairies' success. Through scheduled training sessions, teams are empowered, processes at depots are streamlined and sales excellence standards for merchandising and ordering are upheld."
