PDM MPs reminded of asset declarations
News in short
Seven Popular Democratic Movement (PDM) parliamentarians have been called out by the National Assembly for not declaring their assets by 7 July.
According to a letter sent to the PDM chief whip Elma Dienda on Tuesday, party president McHenry Venaani, Hidipo Hamata, Koviao Hengari, Mike Venaani, Reginald Diergaardt, Vipuakuje Muharukua and Winnie Moongo have until today, 3 August, to submit their declaration forms.
"Members are again reminded that it is required of them to fully complete the declaration forms as per the standing rules and order, to ensure that the form reflects all the member's interests on the date of declaration.
“In order to avoid being reported as not complying [and to] maintain the highest stands of propriety to ensure that their integrity and that of the political institutions they serve are beyond reproach, the members are kindly requested to submit their forms," it read.
