IPC drags ECN to Electoral Court
Based on a formal complaint to the ECN, the IPC is now in the process of approaching the Election Court on an urgent basis to ask that the court set aside the Namibian presidential and parliamentary election today, based on the fact that a huge amount of people could not exercise their democratic right to vote on account of a substantial shortage of ballot material, combined with dysfunctional equipment at various voting stations throughout the country.
IPC officials have confirmed that the party is working hard to submit an urgent application to the relevant court. In response to an enquiry by NMH, a lawyer explained that such an urgent application may be submitted to the court at any time as long as it is relevant.
