DID YOU KNOW? Voting process in elections held simultaneously

If any election of the president, members of the National Assembly, or any member of a regional council or members of a local authority council has been determined to take place on the same polling day, the voting process at polling stations must be conducted jointly for all these elections.

Despite anything to the contrary in this Act, if a registered political party or a registered organisation has, in respect of the elections referred to in subsection (1)(a) and (b), nominated a candidate for election as President as well as candidates for election as members of the National Assembly; or (b) the elections referred to in subsection (1)(c) and (d), nominated a candidate for election as member of a regional council as well as candidates for election as members of a local authority council, the political party or organisation is entitled to appoint as election agents for a polling station the number of persons as is prescribed in respect of any one of the elections.
