A NEW ERA DAWNS

A NEW ERA DAWNS: Election House, the headquarters of the Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN) in Windhoek, was a hive of activity on Tuesday night after Swapo's Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah was officially declared the winner of the 2024 presidential election. She won the election by 57%, while her closest rival, Dr Panduleni Itula, garnered 26% of the vote. Swapo itself came out bruised from the election, winning the parliamentary vote marginally with 53% and shedding 12 seats from the 63 it won in 2019. Here are some photos from this historic night.
