Pensioner dies by suicide after argument with wife

A 74-year-old Angolan national reportedly died by suicide in Opuwo's Okandaunue location after an argument with his wife. The Namibian Police said the deceased - who has been identified as Ndjau Tjikumana - was found hanging from a tree. No suicide note was found.

Meanwhile, two other suicides were reported over the weekend.

The body of local entrepreneur Mattheus Laurens Burger (49) was allegedly found by his fiancée in their Swakopmund apartment on Friday. Police said Burger, the owner of Park and Sell Garage, left a suicide note. No foul play is suspected.

Kazeu Muundjua (36) from Ehomba in the Kunene Region died by suicide on Friday. His body was discovered after a search by family and community members. It is alleged that Muundjua left home for work three days earlier and did not return. No suicide note was found.
