Man survives croc attack

Damian Haikera (22) survived a crocodile attack at Kafuma village in the Kavango West Region on Wednesday, according to a police report.
The attack occurred after he reportedly went to the river to bathe in the afternoon.
Namibian Police Chief Inspector for the region, Raimbert Muronga, confirmed the incident and said:
"According to reports, while in the water, he was suddenly attacked by a crocodile. Haikera managed to escape the predator’s grip but sustained a broken right arm, as well as bruises on his right foot and left arm."
He added: "A passerby rushed to his aid and rescued him from the river before he was taken to Nankudu State Hospital for medical attention. Due to the severity of his injuries, he was later transferred to Rundu State Hospital for further treatment."
