SHORTS: Two injured in Kavango West head-on collision

Two people, aged 32 and 56, were injured and hospitalised following a head-on collision on Sunday in Gana village, located in the Musese Constituency of the Kavango West Region. The accident, which occurred around 12:30 on a sandy road, involved two Toyota pick-ups. One of the vehicles belongs to the directorate of education in Kavango West. Kavango West Regional Commander, Commissioner Julia Sakuwa-Neo, confirmed the incident and provided details about the collision. “The driver of a white Toyota pick-up, belonging to the Directorate of Education, was traveling from south to north when it collided head-on with a cream Toyota pick-up traveling in the opposite direction,” Sakuwa-Neo said. According to Sakuwa-Neo, the driver of the white Toyota pick-up held a valid driver’s license, while the driver of the cream Toyota pick-up was unlicensed. “Both drivers and occupants sustained injuries as a result of the collision. They were initially transported to Bunya Health Centre and later referred to Rundu State Hospital for further treatment. Their condition is reported to be stable,” Sakuwa-Neo confirmed.
