SHORTS: Man with marital problems drinks battery acid

A man from Waagdar location in Swakopmund, who is a mechanic, is in a critical condition in hospital after he allegedly tried to take his own life by drinking battery acid on Friday night. “It is further alleged that the victim is experiencing marital problems, coupled with a complaint which was filed by one of his customers that he stole her vehicle, which he used to repair for free. The alleged vehicle, a silver Nissan March, was later found at his residence with smashed windows,” the police said. The victim is admitted to Katutura State Hospital in a serious condition.
