Former Rehoboth mayor Enrico Junius has finally been discharged from hospital after nine months of medical care. Junius sustained severe burns in September last year and remained in a critical condition at a hospital in Cape Town for months before being transferred to Windhoek for ongoing treatment.

"I express my gratitude to my heavenly Father. My wife, who has always been by my side and believed in me. To my family for their support from day one. And to everyone for hugs, SMS messages, WhatsApp messages, and your prayers. I never thought I would receive such support," he wrote today on social media.
